FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We do not accept returns for hair or lashes.
If you have questions or concerns before purchasing hair products and/or lashes, please reach out via our store location, by email, by phone or using the contact form on this website.
Exchanges are only accepted in store (or during scheduled appointment) and if not tampered with.
The hair and/or lashes will be inspected in the store to determine if the exchange is valid. If length or style change is desired upon exchange, the difference will be needed to completed exchange.
To Purchase Hair:
1. Shop Hair and Lashes
2. Select hair type (choose between black/brown or blonde) and pattern
3. Add hair choice and lashes to Cart
4. OPSelect Custom Color(s), if applicable
5. Add color to cart and put details in comment section before purchase, if applicable
6. Complete purchase for hair extensions/wig and custom color
To Schedule an Appointment:
1. Go to Schedule an Appointment
2. Choose a service and click Book Me!
2a. Choose Head Measurement for Wig first if do not know your head measurements
3. Choose day and time for what works best
4. Add order number of weave purchase and custom color(s) choice to comment section
5. Pay $20 deposit
Congrats! You've purchased your product and made an appointment!
Add your day and time to your personal calendar; an email should be coming soon.
1. Select hair (wig, bundles, frontal or closure) with desired curl pattern and choose length, then Add to Cart
1a. Lighter colors will need a blonde base (this is so that bleach does not make the hair brittle).
1b. Darker colors can be used with either blonde or 1B.
2. Select Custom Color with the amount of colors (ex: I want an ombre of gray, blue and green; I will select Three (3) Custom Colors)
3. Add desired color [amounts] to your cart.
4. Put the color(s) desired in the comment section before check out
5. You can then send an example picture to our number at 313-318-2108

Standard Shipping
Please allow 1 to 3 business days for your order to be processed. Once your order is processed & your credit information verified, your order is shipped within 7-10 business days unless you pay separately for expedited overnight services such as FedEx. Upon shipping, you will be notified by the e-mail address you provide when your order has been shipped along with the tracking information. Please remember that you must be available to sign for your package and it must be the same address as your billing address. Many times this might mean that you have to pick up your package from FedEx.
We ship all packages by FedEx for a flat shipping rate of $9. We only ship within the Continental United States. All address information must be verified.
HAIR AND LASHES CAN BE PURCHASED ONLINE AND THEN PICKED UP IN STORE, BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE SPECIFIED IN CHECKOUT.
Express Shipping
Orders placed with Express Shipping by 12:00 pm (noon) ET will ship by the next business day once the order is processed. Express orders usually arrive the following business day after the ship date. Express shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, rural routes and remote locations usually arrive within 3 to 4 business days after the ship date. Express Shipping is not available for P.O. Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses.
Holiday Shipping
So Unfair Hair Co. is closed for the Holidays and does not mail any packages on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. Express Shipping is not available from December 23- Jan 2.
Unavailable Stock
If an item you have requested is out of stock or otherwise unable to be shipped, we will notify you via email of your options. If we do not receive a response within 3 business days, we will call to confirm the issue with your order. If our attempts to contact you are met with no response we will simply cancel your order and refund your payment method within a week of your order date. Please be sure to check your spam folders for any correspondence, or mark So Unfair Hair Co. as an accepted sender.

Hair extensions will not damage your hair. However, hair with hair extensions requires more care than usual. We recommend daily care, along with a little extra care on a weekly basis. We also recommend that you thoroughly inspect your attachments every five to seven weeks, both in order to enable you to enjoy your long hair as long as possible, but also to avoid tangled attachments and unnecessary wear on both the extensions and your natural hair.
Choosing a color for your hair extensions can seem like a challenge. You may be unsure what color your natural hair really is, or you might be wondering what color actually suits you best. At So Unfair Beauty Bar we've tried to make the choice as easy as possible for you. We offer a large selection of different colors, lengths and qualities. If you look through the color chart on the Custom Color item, we hope that you will find the color that is most similar to your own. If you are still unsure, find a picture that most looks to be what you want and attach it the order when purchased.
We allow a 15 minute grace period. We pride ourselves on providing service to all of our clients in a timely and professional manner. Your promptness is greatly appreciated and required to properly serve you. In the event that you are running late, there is a possibilty of losing your deposit as well as your appointment. However; as a courtesy to other clients, we can only conduct your session within your scheduled appointment.
Fourty-eight hours before your appointment you will receive an email (no more untimely phone call reminders about your appointment from front desk staff). By clicking the appropriate link in the email you can let us know that you received our email and that we can expect to see you at your appointment. Easy!
There might not be anything more disappointing than getting a haircut that, for whatever reason, doesn’t feel good. We are all about open communication and making our clients look their best. Please let us know immediately (preferrably before leaving appointment) if you aren’t happy with your hair, and we will do our best to make you look your best.
