SO UNFAIR'S STORY
I am Angela Meadows
the founder of So Unfair Hair Co. and Beauty Bar. I am a licensed cosmetologist who has been in the industry for over 15 years.
My career as a hair stylist began quite uniquely and organically several years ago. It all started in my mother's kitchen at the ripe age of 12 years old. I went from working in my mother's kitchen to assisting hair stylists in local hair salons.
For two years, I attended national training's under celebrity stylists while also attending a cooperative vocational program that offered students hands on training in a cutting edge cosmetology industry. Through this program, I obtained my cosmetology licensed for the state of Michigan. After years of perfecting my craft, I became skilled in hair care and hair extensions.
My main desire is to empower women, help build the city, train our youth by giving them a future, and build a legacy. We pride the Beauty Bar on giving back to the community by welcoming community youth interested in a cosmetology future and helping to improve the economic conditions in the city of Detroit. We teach and introduce them to healthy hair and skin as well as boosting their self esteem.
So Unfair Beauty Bar offers services to men and women of all ages including those that suffers from hair loss and Alopecia. We offer a wide variety of services ranging from hair cutting, hair coloring, skin care, nail care and hair care. At So Unfair Beauty Bar, we take pride and integrity in the services we provide to our clients. We are a family oriented environment where we encourage self-love and self-care by building self-esteem.
At So Unfair Hair Co., we offer 100% human hair including lashes, premium hair extensions, and wigs that are pre-plucked and ready for installation.
There is always a story to tell when styling. We listen carefully to the style that our clients are trying to align with – what they want their story to be – so we can work together to make that vision come to life.
